This was an absolutely delightful experience. I am very impressed with VBT's way of supporting the local economy by hiring local guides, and setting up dinners with locals. Our hotels were great, the guides were wonderful, and i learned so much about local culture and history. Our guides, Mario and Neven, are just wonderful people and so helpful fun to be around.

VBT Croatia was a fantastic experience. Our trip exceeded our expectations and my adult son said it was a “trip of a lifetime!” It was a perfect blend of guided and self guided. The guides had great personalities and created a great experience! I loved the variation of experiences, loved the food recommendations, loved the scenery and loved all the group interaction. I am ready for the next VBT trip! Amazing trip! Thank you.

The bike and boat Dalmatian Islands trip was excellent in all regards. The scenery was exceptional and the biking was was hard to beat. We were thankful that we had e-bikes as many of the up hill portions were quite long. They were a breeze and were greatly appreciated. The guides took good care of us and clearly briefed us on our daily rides. Our tour group was split between those with regular bikes and e-bikes but everyone easily got to enjoy the experience. The only negative was that the islands have become quite popular and were more resort like than we expected. All in all no complaints.

What a vacation! Pre-arrival information was comprehensive, timely and very helpful. Our ship exceeded all expectations, as did our pre-tour and extension accommodations (especially in Dubrovnik!). Our guides were spectacular! Very knowledgable, always friendly and helpful, extremely hard-working, attentive and caring. Their vocabulary and command of English was stunning! The itinerary was well-selected, aptly paced, and flowed well, even though changes were made so the effects of high winds one day were minimized. The bikes were a pleasure to ride, and always were ready when and where we needed them. The entire trip was efficient and well-organized. I can't think of a single complaint. We even enjoyed clear skies and great weather! Thanks, VBT!

This was our third VBT trip and we chose the boat-biking combination as it appeals to us. The Dalmatian Islands were incredibly beautiful, weather perfect, grape-picking time biking through vineyards at the various islands. Roads were in mint condition, no potholes unlike home and although hilly spouse got competitive with the ebike. Aboard the vessel, the crew and the VBT leaders were wonderful and fulfilled our every wish. Great meals aboard the boat. In summary, this was the best biking tour ever. Croatia is so clean and friendly, a true gem for world travelers.

What's not to love!!? Spectacular weather (despite the forecast of rain), amazing guides who saw to our every need (Jelena and Mario), smooth sailing on a beautiful ship with an attentive crew, great biking (new bikes even!) on the islands with gorgeous views. It's a good thing we did as much biking as we did since the food was tasty and plentiful! September is definitely the perfect time to visit.

This was our 2nd VBT tour and we were highly disappointed. The rides were not easy and in some cases unsafe. Two hotels were great; the other two were dirty, had horrible accommodations, and lacked customer service. Move-on days were not well defined nor easy to do. The local host was nice and informative.

What an amazing trip! Every. Single. Day. somehow topped the next. Food, people, wine, history, biking, architecture, the Adriatic Sea, small seaside towns, countryside, and so much more - which we knew would all be incredible - exceeded expectations at every turn. Simply said, we cannot say enough good things about the experience we had during this trip. The local support (Andre) was awesome; incredibly helpful, always available, and super knowledgeable. Biking was a great way to see the country, and the app made it very easy to navigate around. Routes were thoughtfully laid out, traversing through beautiful backroads, and to quiet towns. Biking with a non-e-bike was a bit challenging given the hilly terrain, but was still a lot of fun. Hotels were great - some super nice, others quaint - and the flights purchased by VBT maybe could have been a little more direct, but they got us where we needed to be, without any unexpected headaches. Overall, we could not recommend this trip any stronger. It will not disappoint.
