Despite being one of America’s smallest National Parks, Acadia is one of the most visited...

And after discovering this magical area in Maine, where soaring granite mountains meet the pounding waves of the North Atlantic and tranquil lakes punctuate dense forests, you’ll understand why. Enjoy invigorating walks along the Park’s famed carriage roads and scenic trails … meet local residents and learn about famously laid-back life “Downeast” … and discover the many charms of Bar Harbor, the resort town beloved by Astors and Rockefellers. What To Expect

This tour features fairly easy terrain, with some gradual climbs. We walk on a variety of surfaces, including dirt trails and paved roads. On rainy days the footpaths can be wet and muddy. Our VBT on-tour support vehicle is available at specific meeting points for those who need assistance. Both morning and afternoon options are available on most days. This tour is ideal for both enthusiastic beginners and experienced walkers.  Several of the walks require a transfer from our hotel to the start of the walk. Our tour leaders often use this time in the van for our morning route review, so we can enjoy a more leisurely morning at breakfast.
