Rife with lush landscapes harboring “40 Shades of Green,” Ireland has long been a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts.
Discover why as we walk through some of the Emerald Isle’s most splendid scenery, from the shimmering lochs, lakes, of Killarney National Park to the soaring peaks of Macgillycuddy’s Reeks to the sandy shores of Derrynane Bay. Along the way, we stay in charming inns and guesthouses, and delight in the warmth and wit of the famously friendly locals we’ll mingle with in lively pubs and charming restaurants. Join VBT for an unforgettable, in-depth look at Ireland’s legendary beauty and storied culture!
This tour features a combination of paved roads and easy terrain, mixed with moderate hills, moorland and uneven footpaths, ideal for enthusiastic beginners to experienced walkers. Due to Ireland’s climate, the footpaths can often be wet and muddy. Our VBT minibus support is available at specified meeting points for those who need assistance. Both morning and afternoon walk options are available most days. Several of the walks require a transfer from our hotel to
the start of the walk. Our tour leaders often use this time in the van for our
morning route review, so we can enjoy a more leisurely morning at breakfast.
