There’s a large and loyal community of VBTers who help spread the word about our unique brand of travel. Thanks to their word-of-mouth, we can keep our advertising costs to a minimum — and your value to a maximum. Since we promote an easygoing, experiential style of travel, the folks we attract tend to be more interested in making connections than just adding another notch to their travel belts. When not traveling they love talking travel — at the gatherings we host around the country, at their own reunions, online, and here in this catalog. But the best way to check out the VBT community is to join it — on the trip of a lifetime.
The experiences of a lifetime, friends for life
When you first meet your fellow travelers on your first VBT trip, you might be surprised to learn that most of them have been on multiple VBT trips – up into the double digits! But by the end of your journey, you’ll understand perfectly what keeps them coming back. There’s a special spirit of camaraderie that makes every day carefree, positive, and just plain fun. Conversations flow more freely when you have common points of reference – how you felt gliding downhill over the magnificent Cimabanche Pass … what your favorite tapas dish was in that Seville bar … just why you were laughing so hard during the provençal cooking class. And there’s something else: an awareness that these are special moments to be lived to the fullest. You might meet your long-lost soulmate – or someone from a fascinating walk of life that you might otherwise never have crossed paths with. After the trip, you may very likely stay in touch…. In fact, it’s very common for VBT travelers to meet lifelong friends and future travel partners on their trips with us.

We’ll provide the support and materials, and if any of your guests book their first VBT trip as a result of your referral, you’ll earn credits – and cash. We did the Tuscan Coast for our first trip. We absolutely loved it! The guides were great. The scenery beautiful. Thetrip featured three different lodgings – a family agriturismo, a 5-star hotel on the sea, and an upscale agriturismo. We especially liked the lunch at the olive oil mill. “I think the biggest surprise to me were the people on the trip including the guides. I was traveling alone for the first time and figured I would be doing things solo.
