I don’t even know where to begin to review our time on our self guided bike tour in Croatia. This was our first go at a self guided ride and it could not have gone better first of all our guide Andrej, was excellent. He was right where he should be at every moment, when not with us, he answered any questions we had. He is knowledgeable of the area and especially the history as he is from there, and we felt very lucky to have him. The bikes were excellent. We had enough gear to ride all of the hills, the rides were Varied fun and challenging, some of the most beautiful country I’ve ever ridden in. Thank you, Vbt for an amazing adventure. We can’t wait to travel with you again. PS. Make sure to stay on either before or after your excursion to walk the wall in Dubrovnik!

The self guided VBT biking tour was just the trip for my husband and I, along with two friends. The locations in Croatia had stunning views and the biking routes were the perfect distance for us. So glad we got ebikes!

The bike and boat Dalmatian Islands trip was excellent in all regards. The scenery was exceptional and the biking was was hard to beat. We were thankful that we had e-bikes as many of the up hill portions were quite long. They were a breeze and were greatly appreciated. The guides took good care of us and clearly briefed us on our daily rides. Our tour group was split between those with regular bikes and e-bikes but everyone easily got to enjoy the experience. The only negative was that the islands have become quite popular and were more resort like than we expected. All in all no complaints.

The first VBT trip we took, Slovenia Austria Italy was phenomenal. 25 bikers 1 E Bike. This year 27 bikers 6 regular human powered bikes all the rest on E bikes. We met on several islands a group of German bikers, 37 in the group, 2 regular bikes. Numerous other groups with the same percentage of E bikes. E Bikes have now become the norm. The trip, the vacation, the crowd who does this kind of adventure has changed. I’ve always liked training for these trips with months of regular rides. By comparison, several of our group shared that they did indeed train for the trip with a couple of rides around their neighborhood the week before flying to Europe. The experience has changed. Sad to say but this is our last VBT.

Just returned yesterday from Croatia. This was our first VBT tour and I'm sure it will not be our last. Our guides, Marko and Vanja were exceptional and we hated to leave them. They went above and beyond with recommendations for restaurants, things to see and do during the tour as well as the post tour extension in Split.

VBT Croatia was a fantastic experience. Our trip exceeded our expectations and my adult son said it was a “trip of a lifetime!” It was a perfect blend of guided and self guided. The guides had great personalities and created a great experience! I loved the variation of experiences, loved the food recommendations, loved the scenery and loved all the group interaction. I am ready for the next VBT trip! Amazing trip! Thank you.

This was a wonderful trip! Despite some rainy weather, the hikes were beautiful and well paced. Lovely to see two different countries and learn from our knowledgeable and fun guides about some history and culture. The hotels were top notch and convenient to things during free time. We had a great group and we definitely laughed a lot!

This trip exceeded my expectations due to Dani and Vida, our amazing guides.They were able to share their personal stories in a professional manner that enriched the trip and we became friends. They were aware and alert to each individuals needs and responded to those needs. They were knowable and worked smoothly was a team. I would travel with Country Walkers again due to Dani and Vida.

We had an amazing time on this trip and could not have been happier with our decision to take our first ever group tour with Country Walkers. Everything about our trip was seamless. Our tour guides, Dani 1 and Dani 2, were knowledgeable, mature, funny and amiable, each in his own way, and added greatly to the trip/experience. Their local knowledge of culture, food, people, history was unmatchable. We had deep trust in them, and we knew that although everything seemed to go smoothly, they were constantly working behind the scenes to adjust plans due to weather, changes in schedule, etc. They made it look easy, but we knew it was not. Of course the hiking was nice, the views and location fantastic. The food was sumptuous and always different, so we sampled many things and felt we got exposed to all kinds of traditional Croation fare. The wine and grappa were always flowing generously. The eating locations themselves were unique. We heard rumors that this tour was being regrouped or cancelled and were quite surprised as everyone in our group seemed quite happy indeed. It would be a shame to lose these fantastic guides/guys.

We had a great trip thanks in a large part to our guides and our Croatian hosts! Dani and Dani were a great guiding team, who adapted the itinerary to meet our needs. They were thoughtful, informative and knowledgable. I would highly recommend this trip. You will learn so much about the wonderful and beautiful Dalmatian coast.
