I don’t even know where to begin to review our time on our self guided bike tour in Croatia. This was our first go at a self guided ride and it could not have gone better first of all our guide Andrej, was excellent. He was right where he should be at every moment, when not with us, he answered any questions we had. He is knowledgeable of the area and especially the history as he is from there, and we felt very lucky to have him. The bikes were excellent. We had enough gear to ride all of the hills, the rides were Varied fun and challenging, some of the most beautiful country I’ve ever ridden in. Thank you, Vbt for an amazing adventure. We can’t wait to travel with you again. PS. Make sure to stay on either before or after your excursion to walk the wall in Dubrovnik!

Fantastic trip. The bike routes were beautiful and fun and the GPS was easy to use. Our itinerary was perfect and our host was great. You will not regret this trip. E-bike was a life saver!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our Croatia: Split & the Dalmatian Islands bike-&-boat trip was nothing short of magical — and that’s largely thanks to our incredible guides, Julian, Peter, and Matiya. From Day 1, they set the tone: welcoming, knowledgeable, and always enthusiastic. Julian had a gift for weaving in little local stories and historical tidbits that brought each stop to life. Matiya was our technical guru — ensuring bikes were tuned, giving helpful route tips, and always ready with encouragement when hills got steep. Peter’s warm spirit and attentive care made everyone feel comfortable, whether helping with logistics, meal plans, or just chatting about hidden gems off the beaten path. The itinerary was spectacular: biking across islands, stopping at olive farms, wine tastings, savoring traditional Croatian dishes, and swimming in turquoise bays — the variety was perfect. The balance between active days and relaxing evenings on the yacht was just right. What truly made this trip shine was how seamless it all felt. The guides anticipated needs before we knew we had them, smoothed over any bumps with humor and grace, and created a sense of camaraderie in the group. They turned a scenic journey into a deeply personal experience. If you want to see Croatia in its most beautiful, authentic form — and be led by guides who make every moment better — this is the trip to take. Great guides, beautiful scenery, excellent food, very comfortable accommodations - this trip has it all! The Dalmatian coast is extraordinary and this trip is the perfect way to explore it.

VBT Croatia was a fantastic experience. Our trip exceeded our expectations and my adult son said it was a “trip of a lifetime!” It was a perfect blend of guided and self guided. The guides had great personalities and created a great experience! I loved the variation of experiences, loved the food recommendations, loved the scenery and loved all the group interaction. Just returned yesterday from Croatia. This was our first VBT tour and I'm sure it will not be our last. Our guides, Marko and Vanja were exceptional and we hated to leave them. They went above and beyond with recommendations for restaurants, things to see and do during the tour as well as the post tour extension in Split.

Walking and dining with fellow travelers was an exceptional experience for us. From the beautiful vistas to the gourmet meals our every desire was fulfilled. Learning about the culture from our knowledgeable guides was an added bonus.

This was a great trip with beautiful scenery, delicious food, and great accommodations. The guides were knowledgeable and contentious. The trip is rated easy to moderate and I think that is an accurate description, with it leaning more towards easy.

I have been on multiple bicycle and walking adventures and this was one of the best. The guides were exceptional. They were from Croatia and they did a great job leading us on challenging walks every day and, at th4e same time, educating us on their country. The hotels where we stayed were very nice and well located for our walks and for us to spend free time. The morning breakfast and other meals were excellent. I would highly recommend the Croatia - Dalmation Coast Adventure to my friends and anyone who is relatively physically fit. A fantastic adventure!!!

We had an amazing time on this trip and could not have been happier with our decision to take our first ever group tour with Country Walkers. Everything about our trip was seamless. Our tour guides, Dani 1 and Dani 2, were knowledgeable, mature, funny and amiable, each in his own way, and added greatly to the trip/experience. Their local knowledge of culture, food, people, history was unmatchable. We had deep trust in them, and we knew that although everything seemed to go smoothly, they were constantly working behind the scenes to adjust plans due to weather, changes in schedule, etc. They made it look easy, but we knew it was not. Of course the hiking was nice, the views and location fantastic. The food was sumptuous and always different, so we sampled many things and felt we got exposed to all kinds of traditional Croation fare. The wine and grappa were always flowing generously. The eating locations themselves were unique. We heard rumors that this tour was being regrouped or cancelled and were quite surprised as everyone in our group seemed quite happy indeed. It would be a shame to lose these fantastic guides/guys.
