Not as advertised
This was our 2nd VBT tour and we were highly disappointed. The rides were not easy and in some cases unsafe. Two hotels were great; the other two were dirty, had horrible accommodations, and lacked customer service. Move-on days were not well defined nor easy to do. The local host was nice and informative.

Amazing Yacht and Bike Trip - Dalmatian Is.
This was our first VBT trip and we were thrilled beyond words! The yacht we were on was so beautiful with great spaces to relax and unwind after a day of bike riding and wonderful cultural experiences. The islands offer a hilly bike ride and having an e-bike was very important to our enjoyment of our biking journeys each day. Our guides, Marko and Milan were just amazing! The logistical dynamics of this trip - getting our bikes to each of the islands we visited to ride - were challenging but our leaders were “on top of it!” We had two “trainee” tour guides (Adja and Petar) who were clearly not “new” to biking adventures with VBT. They each provided additional support to our leaders, as well as, wonderful insights and conversation with each and every fellow passenger. We were blessed with amazing weather during our trip week. We can highly, unreservedly, recommend this bike and yacht experience with VBT. Thank you!!!!

Ups and Downs
As first time travelers with VBT, I rated our trip with three stars due to certain aspects we felt were less than we expected. First the good; The VBT guides were fantastic, they were informative, entertaining and fun. The actual bike routes were more challenging than we expected, with as much as 2000 feet assents and descents many without guard rails. When you reach the top, you have beautiful views of the mountains and water so clear and blue it looks like a painting. Each port was a quaint harbor town to explore. Some aspects of the trip you need to know: 1) The ship in the pictures is not necessarily the ship you will be sailing on. 2) Afternoon snacks onboard were very limited. 3) When you are riding, there are only two guides for 30 people, if you have a slow rider in the group, plan on riding GPS guided only. All in all, I rate this trip as a 3 because the rides were much more difficult than described and the ship was not a luxury yacht.

Superb in Every way
The Croatia bike trip was simply outstanding. First and foremost, we could not have gotten better guides from Croatia to show us the islands of Hvar and Brac. The culture, the scenery, the comraderie could not have been better. Plus we learned how to ascend and descend rather large hills! Would absolutely do it again.

Great Experience!
This was an absolutely delightful experience. I am very impressed with VBT's way of supporting the local economy by hiring local guides, and setting up dinners with locals. Our hotels were great, the guides were wonderful, and i learned so much about local culture and history. Our guides, Mario and Neven, are just wonderful people and so helpful fun to be around.

Enchanting
The guides where wonderful I learned so much about the countries we visited. Everything was top notch. The reason I always choose Country Walkers is the fact they always use local guides this makes the trip stand out above the rest. You get an insight not found with other tour companies.

Beautiful mountains + gorgeous seaside in one trip
This was a fantastic trip! As usual CW found terrific local guides - Irena & Matej, were wonderful - very organized, knowledgeable with great senses of humor. The interesting thing about this trip is being able to experience the Julian Alps and Istrian peninsula and compare the very different landscapes. While the length of the trip was perfect, I wouldn't have minded an extra day in each place! And I did appreciate that we didn't move around too much - we stayed in the same hotel for several nights in each area which allows you to settle in and relax. Another wonderful CW excursion!

The wonderful Dalmatian!
We had a great trip thanks in a large part to our guides and our Croatian hosts! Dani and Dani were a great guiding team, who adapted the itinerary to meet our needs. They were thoughtful, informative and knowledgable. I would highly recommend this trip. You will learn so much about the wonderful and beautiful Dalmatian coast.

You have two Wonderful Guides!
This walking tour was awesome. The different venues, hikes and lodging was all terrific . The single factor that made the trip so good, were the two Guides. Dani and Dani were so thoughtful, knowledgeable, and their trips to lunches and meals and wine tasting, at various venues were remarkable. Getting to know some of the locals at these venues, and visiting places off the beaten path, were one of the high points, in my view.
