The experience with VBT went beyond expectations as did the part of Greece where we cycled. The Peloponnesian Peninsula is a relatively undiscovered biking jewel, I enjoyed it far more than biking various Greek Islands. Accommodations were excellent and Greek food speaks for itself. VBT and the guides went out of their way in providing a 5 star experience. The bikes were new and top quality, the routes were varied and interesting. The guides bent over backwards to please us and provide a great biking as well as cultural experience.

This VBT trip does not disappoint! The attention to detail for every visit and experience was remarkable. I live in the mid-west and don't have many hills to train on so these rides were challenging for me, but doable and once I was done I felt very satisfied. The accommodations were all different and great in their own way. The guides were energetic and informative. I highly recommend this tour - it's a great way to see Greece!

This was a great trip that I would strongly recommend. It was my first guided group outing and I enjoyed every part of it. The hiking is easy to moderate and if that is your highest priority, this may not be the right option. What made the experience so terrific for me was everything that came along with the hiking: natural beauty, wonderful food, and amazing history all set within a friendly and welcoming culture. Our guides Thalia and Katerina were knowledgeable and fun and shared their love of all things Greek. The itinerary took us to interesting and beautiful sites where we explored Greek history and mythology. When you put all the ingredients together, you get some nice hikes and a wide-ranging and memorable introduction to a wonderful place.

This was our first trip to Greece and we were captivated by the history and culture of this fascinating country. Our congenial group experience was greatly enhanced by our resourceful, humorous and knowledgeable guides Katerina and Fotis.  Every day was a new adventure with jaw dropping views, culinary delights and historical discoveries.  We sampled lovely regional wines, toured multiple UNESCO sites and retraced ancient routes. The hiking choices were a mix of downhill ambles and rigorous uphill ascents. The vast scope of the Peloponnese Peninsula did require more travel time on the bus than previous walking tours.  Our accommodations were very nice with standout properties in several locations. We highly recommend the post trip to Santorini. The group hike was rigorous due to the unshaded terrain but the views were amazing. The resort setting was a perfect place to relax and unwind. Rating would have been 5-star except that our pre trip group was not met at the Athens airport. After a half an hour of phone discussion with Allianz, two drivers were dispatched from the taxi queue. The reminder of our transfers and our bus driver were prompt and professional in accordance with Country Walkers standards.
