I did the Germany, Austria, Danube River, VBT tour in August 2024. It was a self guided tour and I was the only one that had signed up for it for the month of August. I was a little concerned doing a self guided trip by myself, but it turned out great. Despite being August, the heat was not bad most of my riding was in the morning but it was still in the 70s mid and upper. Didn't turn 80° until around 1:30 2 o'clock in the afternoon. As usual VBT did a great job with the hotels, they were all excellent. The ride was easy going down river, no big hills. VBT also had shuttles to carry me past the less scenic parts of the ride. VBT also. did. an excellent job booking all of my travel even the travel after the bike tour. It was a great adventure. I totally enjoyed it.

Bikes Breakfasts,Hotels were all great. GPS worked well and VBT was there for assistance if needed.

This was not something I would not have chosen to do on my own. However, my spouse and the couple we were traveling with enjoy riding so I went along. I'm happy to say that it ended up being a pleasant trip. The best part was our guides! They were so knowledgeable about the area and were fun to be around. The scenery was beautiful. There were a few times when traffic was nerve-wracking, but overall good paths. Would probably do it again.

We had a fantastic trip to the lakes region of Italy! The scenery was outstanding each day with the well thought out itinerary. The equipment and routes were great and the guides made us feel so well cared for, informed and guided not only on the bikes but through local customs and history. Of the twenty of us, 16 rode the brand new e-bikes, while four rode road bikes. Hands on fast help by the crew for any issues that occurred was reassuring. We highly recommend this trip and I tend to come back for more.

The experience with VBT went beyond expectations as did the part of Greece where we cycled. The Peloponnesian Peninsula is a relatively undiscovered biking jewel, I enjoyed it far more than biking various Greek Islands. Accommodations were excellent and Greek food speaks for itself. VBT and the guides went out of their way in providing a 5 star experience. The bikes were new and top quality, the routes were varied and interesting. The guides bent over backwards to please us and provide a great biking as well as cultural experience.

This VBT trip does not disappoint! The attention to detail for every visit and experience was remarkable. I live in the mid-west and don't have many hills to train on so these rides were challenging for me, but doable and once I was done I felt very satisfied. The accommodations were all different and great in their own way. The guides were energetic and informative. I highly recommend this tour - it's a great way to see Greece!

Fabulous jaw-droppingly beautiful views, with unique and comfortable accommodations organized by knowledgeable, professional guides. Be sure to include the Mont Blanc pre-trip and the post-trip in Lyon.

With the exception of a few routes, rides were on bike paths, waterways and small village roads. Rain is not uncommon so pack accordingly. The ride around Lake Annecy is a stunner. The countryside is green, peaceful and quiet. Logistics were handled well. It was enjoyable to take walking tours of medieval towns along the route. Be sure to pack your swimsuit for the thermal pools. Overall a great experience although our room for the last two nights of the tour was a disappointment.

Great guides and food. Beautiful hotels. Scenery incredible. Riding just hard enough.

Cotswolds are a beautiful place to bike, guides facilitated a great trip. Wish there were interactions with locals as we’ve had on other VBT trips. Hotels are beautiful but a local chain and the food is similar throughout.

Enjoyed this trip to Portugal. Good mix of easy and moderate riding to work off the fantastic food/beverages.

Portugal was our 11th VBT trip and 12th biking trip. It was the best or at least equal to our other great trips. The guides were the best ever and the hotels , especially the Farm House, were excellent. The biking was challenging at times but very good overall. We highly recommend the trip and very much want to return to Portugal. Great food, great wine and a beautiful country. We felt very safe on the roads and highways as Portugal drivers are very courteous to bikers. Absolutely nothing to complain about and as with all VBT trips, a great value.

I have wanted to visit the Nordic countries since 1974 when I was an exchange student in Europe. Thank you, VBT, for finally making it an affordable destination! As always, the travel arrangements were seamless, the leaders were phenomenal, and the experience was second to none!

Our favorite VBT trip to date. The cultural experience rivaled the well planned cycling routes. Time spent on and off the bicycle created lasting memories for joyful reflection.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the VBT Costa Brava trip. The biking itinerary was clearly written and well planned. We are confident traveling in Europe after living there many years, however, we believe it is safer and certainly more convenient to bike with a reputable group tour. VBT offers a high quality experience which we can recommend without hesitation.

This was our first VBT vacation and we have already registered for a second trip. Provence and the Alpilles is a beautiful region of France with abundant fruits, vegetables and other agriculture. The bicycle travel through the French countryside gives an up-close and personal travel experience.
