Terrific diverstiy of scenery and cultural sights.

Our 7th trip and this might be tops, but they are all so good. This trip is easy and we are so glad we did not order eBikes (we are 79 and 82). Our guides were terrific and the trip is planned so there is time for art (Dali two places),Greek and Roman ruins, swimming in the Mediterranean Sea, walking the coast, seeing the Costa Brava from the sea, and exploring the old city of Girona as well as an introduction to Barcelona, where we stayed on for a week in an apartment. Hotels were great too.

You have to do this!

I wasn't sure I would be able to do this ride. But I had no problem at all. I used an e-bike and kept up the group and had a ball! Everyone on the ride was wonderful and fun to be with. If you aren't sure you might be up for a ride thru Spain, think again. Anyone can do it using an e-bike. I can't wait to do my next trip!! Hum, where shall I go?

Provence is a Pleasure!

Bike routes were beautiful and enjoyable! Loved the town of St. Remy and the location of our hotel. Really enjoyed Avignon and again, the location of the hotel made exploring the city very easy.

Enjoyed this trip to Portugal. Good mix of easy and moderate riding to work off the fantastic food/beverages.

A trip for the bucket list

As with all our VBT experiences Portugal did not disappoint. The trips are planned well from the time you take off from home until you land back at home. The transfers, the accommodations, and the in between are well thought out and planned. Any necessary changes are planned for. Portugal is tourist friendly, they are ahead of the curve with the pandemic, follow the rules. It is tough to find a bad meal, the weather was great; there is a lot of history. The cycling was easily doable for all who cycle 25 miles with some wind or hills. If you take only a few trips, make this one.

Great Biking & Interesting Cities

We've taken 16 VBT trips and the Scandinavia trip is definitely in the top two or three trips we've taken with them. Whoever laid this trip out really knew what they were doing. Great biking, three beautiful and most interesting cities: Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Helsinki, ferry ride experiences, the Stockholm Archipelago, great hotels, good food, incredible museums and wonderful guides who really knew the area and culture. This trip is one of VBT's very best and it won't surprise me to see it become their signature trip!

Great trip

Enjoyed the guided trip to the Cotswold region of England. The towns were quaint and had a little bit familiarity from the dining hall in Oxford (Harry Potter) to the Bampton Dowager house (Downton Abbey) to Blenheim Palace ( Churchill). We’ve seen this special spots on tv and at the movies but to see them in person was really fun. Wonderful, friendly, professional guides. And did I mention the biking was great?

Gorgeous views, rewarding rides and delicious food

This VBT trip does not disappoint! The attention to detail for every visit and experience was remarkable. I live in the mid-west and don't have many hills to train on so these rides were challenging for me, but doable and once I was done I felt very satisfied. The accommodations were all different and great in their own way. The guides were energetic and informative. I highly recommend this tour - it's a great way to see Greece!

Wonderful trip

The experience with VBT went beyond expectations as did the part of Greece where we cycled. The Peloponnesian Peninsula is a relatively undiscovered biking jewel, I enjoyed it far more than biking various Greek Islands. Accommodations were excellent and Greek food speaks for itself. VBT and the guides went out of their way in providing a 5 star experience. The bikes were new and top quality, the routes were varied and interesting. The guides bent over backwards to please us and provide a great biking as well as cultural experience.

Magical ride through Italy’s lake region!

First, our guides Elena and Giovanni were awesome! It would be an entirely different trip without them, and they were fun to be with as well as super helpful! I love biking in all these different places, and this ride was gorgeous. The train to St. Moritz was incredible and the scenery is hard to beat. We stopped at a winery/farm in Italy and enjoyed a wonderful prepared pasta lunch and tour. Beautiful place and fabulous family operation. We were on bikes, boats and trains going past apple orchards, vineyards and pear farms, and it was amazing. The only thing I wish we had done, was tour an olive oil factory. Fabulous trip, and a great group of women from all over the place to travel with. Highly recommend this trip!

Lake District Bike tour

I appreciated the effort the guides put into our daily activities, education and logistics. The education was helpful but wasn’t overdone. The transportation was well done but an improvement for me would have been to not go to St Moritz and return on the same day. Could we have stayed a night there instead of taking the train back that afternoon? The area was beautiful and it was our lowest mileage day - would have liked spending more time in the mountains. The food was very good but the best was the lunch at the vineyard followed closely by the home style lunch on the last ride day. The hotels were good. The safety discussion was great but we are used to traveling through roundabouts. Not sure everyone else was as comfortable in them. Maybe a little more time covering safety and right of way in a roundabout. The ride app was helpful. Our group was wonderful and we made some new friends. Thanks for your communication about the trip and getting us ready.

A Beautiful and Varied Riding Environment

With a two adjustments, the trip would be a five star trip. One is to move the warmup ride from the congested, cobblestone streets of old town Passau to an easier riding environment. Second is to be more selective in the room choices in the hotel in the Wachau Valley. Otherwise, the trip met my expectations and more. The riding is in varying environments - forests, mountains, riversides, vineyards, orchards, and small, ancient villages. The elevation changes are minimal, there are long stretches where there is no stopping at intersections, and best of all, for all but small portions, you are riding on dedicated bike trails or bike lanes without having to worry about vehicles. Navigating was easy with Ride with GPS, and we took cues from the trail signs and the bicycle traffic. The luggage transfers and shuttles operated flawlessly.
