This was one of the best VBT tours we have taken. Food, riding, scenery, exploration of the art of Dali, wonderful guides and fantastic accommodations. Pre-trip in Barcelona is a must do to see the Gaudi architecture and Picasso museum as well as experience Catalonia at its best.

A great time!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the VBT Costa Brava trip. The biking itinerary was clearly written and well planned. We are confident traveling in Europe after living there many years, however, we believe it is safer and certainly more convenient to bike with a reputable group tour. VBT offers a high quality experience which we can recommend without hesitation.

What a Great Tour!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first VBT experience. The tour route was very well laid out and we cannot not say enough about how impressive our tour leaders, David and Frederico, both of whom are natives of Portugal. Kudos to VBT for the way they planned and conducted our tour!

The accommodations were fabulous and access to Barcelona before or after the tour was a plus. The routes chosen were a little more trafficked than I thought they would be. Girona and Empuries provided historical depth.

Great trip to beautiful Costa Brava
This was our first VBT and it will not be our last! We loved the self-guided trip through quaint medieval villages, quiet country lanes, mountain climbs in the foothills of the Pre-Pyrenees, apple orchards, to the beautiful shores of the Mediterranean. We had a great group of 7 travelers we met up with along the path, and for many dinners. We choose the self-guided because we wanted to go at our own pace. Our local hosts were amazing and always a phone call or text away! We made the right choice by going with the E-bikes! We had never tried them before, and they were amazing!

Go! Just Go!!
Mallorca was my 6th VBT trip and was, by far, the most beautifully designed and executed. You will be doubly lucky if you get BiBi, Anna, or Carolina as your guides- professional, fun, thoughtful, a little quirky ( which I love), and serious about our well-being. We saw all parts of this beautiful island, our few transports were short and included a train ride through and around the mountains. The biking routes were peaceful, little traffic, and few repeats. And the food!!! You won't be disappointed, highly recommend.

A variety of scenery
Well orchestrated tour incorporating a diverse set of destination cities & small villages across Majorca.Ample opportunity to connect with nature and the local culture. Rides were challenging, especially within the hillside towns themselves. For us, this tour was right on the edge between using a road bike vs an e-bike. My first time with an e-bike, no regrets as it gave me more time to look up, smell the flowers. Regional guides made a huge difference, opening our eyes to the history and beauty of this ancient place. Lodging was very good to great as was the case with all our VBT tours. The level of luxury aside, all stays blended into their surroundings as integral parts of the community, making them spring boards to explore. The dining on this trip highlighted the best of the local cuisine. Many repeats on our menus as a result. But all the restaurants offered healthy, thoughtful alternatives to mix things up. By the end of the trip I was exploring dishes I wouldn’t normally have tried. An excellent experience. This tour is recommended. Majorca is recommended for that matter.

Douro River Cruise
We really enjoyed our cruise along the Douro River. Everyone on the Emerald Radiance staff was helpful, courteous and genuinely friendly. The combination with our VBT bike trip made an exceptional vacation.

Great trip, great leaders.
We really enjoyed this trip and would recommend it. The routes were scenic; the bikes excellent; the food very good; the leaders outstanding; the other experiences (tours, wine tasting, etc.) were fun and informative; the hotels at the beginning and end were very nice. We would suggest using the e-bikes as the terrain is hilly.

Five star tour!
Fabulous trip! We truly enjoyed ourselves and the other people on the tour. We loved being there during Holy Week, too. The pre and post extensions were wonderful, we especially loved Rondo. All of the guides were terrific! Nico and Juan Carlos were fabulous as well. They both had a wonderful sense of humor and were very patient and helpful. We will highly recommend this tour to others and look forward to doing another tour in the future!

VBT Andalusia trip
This trip could not have been better. Bikes, guides, hotels, food, history, culture, tours to the prime sights, transports ; all organized and pulled off smoothly, down to small details. The guides were special. Knowledgeable, friendly, organized, encouraging, calm, and just fun to be around. We lost a passport in Cordoba and within an hour the guides tracked it down and saved some huge hassles for us. I don’t typically write reviews, but this trip was just too good.

Great Trip!
Wonderful trip, great guides, good food, well-organized. Guides Alberto and Pol were a great team and anticipated our every need. Moreover, they were fun to be with and full of helpful information. The route was well planned to experience both the Camino Norte and the Camino Franca. The paradors were generally good though not spectacular, with the exception of that in Santiago de Compostela. Visits to the winery and cheese factory were also pleasant and provided variety to the walking treks. The length and elevation gain of the walks were fine for the elderly group, though the initial information should be checked for accuracy. Some walks were more and others were less than advertised.

It was the inaugural edition of the tour but it ran like they had been doing it for years - well planned and well run. Paradors and meals were excellent. Our guides, Diego and Pol, were the best. Great guides and just fun to be around.

Inaugural tour - meticulously planned.
So much fun. Six lovely days of hiking (I wouldn’t characterize it as “walking”), fabulous guides, great food, and nice accommodations. And the participants were interesting, upbeat, and encouraging. And the scenery — spectacular. Our guides were knowledgeable and attentive and exuded enthusiasm and humor. Enough superlatives? Since this was the a new tour, CW included an extra professional to observe and identify opportunities for improvement. There were a a couple of very minor issues which will perhaps receive tweaks, but nothing of note. We loved the positive attitude of all involved. Also, we appreciated the excursions supporting local entrepreneurs (e.g., small winery, orange orchards, salt production). Looking for the next destination with Country Walkers.

Amazing Mallorca
I loved this trip. Mallorca was more Beautiful than I imagined. Our leaders Helle and Joseph were amazing. Joseph knew so much about the area and the history. It was nice to have a local guide. Helle is a fantastic guide. I came on this trip because she had lead the Norway trip that I was on and I liked her so much that I booked my Mallorca immediately after reading from Norway
