It starts with the guides and they deliver on a continuous basis. Andrea and Javier (Javi) are excellent at delivering the experience promised by VBT and go above and beyond to make it all work and make sure you are happy. There are always glitches along the way, mostly created by the guests. They work tirelessly and effectively to solve every problem. Like all the other trips (we have done many). It's so much more than the wonderful biking. The farm visit to the apple orchard is amazing. Who knew so much science and technology are needed to be successful in this day and age. They explained why more than 150 apples stresses the trees and produce inferior apples. They showed us the technology they use to eliminate excess blooms. The resultant apples, juices and ciders are wonderful. The enjoyment of our visit to the Dali museum was magnified many times over by the enthusiasm and knowledge of Kim, our guide. I had no idea how many elements were in each Dali painting and how his mind worked.

A Complete Package
Our favorite VBT trip to date. The cultural experience rivaled the well planned cycling routes. Time spent on and off the bicycle created lasting memories for joyful reflection.

What a Great Tour!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first VBT experience. The tour route was very well laid out and we cannot not say enough about how impressive our tour leaders, David and Frederico, both of whom are natives of Portugal. Kudos to VBT for the way they planned and conducted our tour!

A Perfect Area for Biking
This part of Spain seems to be designed for biking with many small country roads and bike paths. Even the long climb on the first day was gentle and easy (on an E-Bike!). An occasional stint on a busier road brought us to another idyllic country road. The hotel accommodations were great. Nice people, fascinating medieval villages, orchards, fields. I love than Spain has a law requiring motorists to leave 1.5 meters when passing a bike.

Exceeded Our Expectations
This trip was so amazing. The VBT company had everything in order right down to the last detail. Our tour guides, Oriol and Xavier, treated everyone with dignity and respect. They were kind and helpful and a joy to work with. The group met each morning to have a review of the day. Our guides also suggested restaurants along the way and their advice was excellent. Our hotels were beautiful! Everything about this vacation was top notch. Thank you, VBT for an amazing trip. We are already planning our next one.

Most Active vaca in years! Love biking!
first timer to biking tour...had never been to Mallorca or Spain!! mid Oct, great time to go and weather was mostly perfect! E-bike was easy to learn and a pleasure to use to keep up with husband on road bike. our 2 guides BiBi and Carolina were great together, They earned our praise from day one, when husband got a flat and BiBi was right there within minutes, fixed it in under 15 minutes, maybe 10...:) great group of 17 souls who also seemed to LOVE biking! Hotels were lovely, tour stops so interesting, bikers handled by cars with grace and safety in mind all over the island! So many stone walls, the Ride GPS, was great but sometimes if a car goes by...hard to hear, but it saves you with another reminder... plan to bring another digital camera to have or go pro, hard to stop, undo phone and take pics, then reset phone back onto bike and continue...the "gucci" bag on rear rack of e-bike holds a jacket and shirt and other items, long with water bottle, but i wore a camelback with bladder for hydration while riding and THAT was perfect... guides always had plenty of water to refill bottles and snacks along the way, lots of variety and fruit too... and chocolate :)) transports were smooth and easy and bags already in the rooms when we arrived was so perfect! the high vis, rain jacket was used alot even as a wind breaker layer! Breakfasts were favorite meals...variety and delicious eggs. our guides really worked hard the whole tour and with smiles and calmness ...thankful our friends asked us would we want to go.... where to next?? now THAT is the question....

Mellow Mallorca
We traveled to Mallorca in April 2023 with VBT. Great guides, nice hotels, varied routes with reasonable mileage and some interesting non-cycling outings.

Douro Valley Bike and Boat Tour
It was wonderful to visit rural parts of the Douro Valley on e-bikes. I was impressed with the challenging and scenic rides mixed with local tours to olive press, winery, port warehouse, and medieval city tour. We liked not having to pack our bags every morning for a hotel move and it was nice getting to know the service staff on the boat. Well done!

Wonderful Tour
Wonderful trip! Biking along the Douro and surrounding areas was amazing. We were able to go to some remote places and really experience the area without a lot of tourists around. The meals we had in the small towns were top notch! We had wonderful tours as well. Matyas and David were excellent guides. Riding an ebike on this tour enabled me to enjoy the multiple steep hills.

VBT Andalusia trip
This trip could not have been better. Bikes, guides, hotels, food, history, culture, tours to the prime sights, transports ; all organized and pulled off smoothly, down to small details. The guides were special. Knowledgeable, friendly, organized, encouraging, calm, and just fun to be around. We lost a passport in Cordoba and within an hour the guides tracked it down and saved some huge hassles for us. I don’t typically write reviews, but this trip was just too good.

Great Bike Tour!
I had a wonderful time on the VBT Andalusian Spain trip and would highly recommend this trip to anyone who might be interested. The scenery is beautiful and the towns we visited had so much history. Our guides could not have been better. They made the trip both fun and safe. I went solo and felt like I gained 18 new friends. The food and lodging were top notch and the rides were totally manageable even for someone who is not an avid rider - but if you have a doubt about your abilities rent an E-bike and your worries will be over!

Our Guides Made this Trip Especially Memorable...
Our Guides, Alberto and Pol, made this trip one to remember! Surprises at every bend on the Camino. We especially enjoyed the Northern Coastal areas and the Vineyards (Ribera Sacra) in the mountains overlooking the Sil River. But the cultural experiences really made the trip POP! From the Queimada demonstration to the Pottery making demo at Rectoral de Gundivos, to the Good Shepherd Demo, and did we mention the Paradores! Overall, a great sampler of the Camino, and one we hope to revisit as Pilgrims. Wish we could have spent more time hiking the Camino and less time on the charter bus, but we understand the limitations. Perhaps CW will extend this trip by a few days down the road (path).

Spain: Landscapes from the Camino de Santiago
A bespoke and unforgettable experience!
This trip was perfectly balanced with a variety of activities. The walking sections were stunning! There were magnificent coastlines, ancient pathways into medieval villages, expansive mountain vistas, charming towns and beautiful moments under the canopy of verdant forests. Along the way you had the pleasure of greeting pilgrims or experiencing your own version of being a Camino pilgrim. Enhancing this walk with visits to local crafters and cultural activities was the highlight for me. The lodging was exceptional as it continued the theme of history with its location and the buildings itself. How fascinating to stay in a rectory or castle where centuries of stories now live. Finally our guides Manu and Diego were amazing. I have been on many guided trips, these two were the best team I have ever had on a guided tour. Their knowledge was excellent, they were attentive to everyones needs and took care of details with a happy and positive attitude. They bring humor and delight to a group dynamic, which made all of us comfortable, resulting in true bonds and friendship for our group. Essentially they created community. I give them 10 ⭐️ stars! By the end of the trip, I felt like I had been on an epic journey with friends that became family. Thank you Country Walkers Team for planning, creating and building a wonderful trip. I will be back for more next year.
