Best Bike Trip Ever!

This was a perfect trip...Seamless. My 8th VBT bicycling trip and all were good but this one was exceptional because our leaders were exceptional. Great biking, great cultural events and guided tours, wonderful food, very cohesive group of 22 guests who really liked each other every single day. Bravo Javi and Andrea..I hope we meet again!

Wonderful Experience!

We loved this trip! The scenery, the biking routes, the guides, the accommodations were all fanatastic. We liked the other guests, the fabulous breakfasts and particularly loved our post trip to Mallorca.

What a Great Tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first VBT experience. The tour route was very well laid out and we cannot not say enough about how impressive our tour leaders, David and Frederico, both of whom are natives of Portugal. Kudos to VBT for the way they planned and conducted our tour!

Costa Brava Bueno!

Wonderful place to visit! Lodging was fine and the logistics well organized and easy to follow. Welcome team was very knowledgable and helpful. Equipment was first rate and performed flawlessly.

Great daily rides and wonderful hotels

Good riding in an area that pro racers train. The Girona area is a road cycling mecca. Drivers are contentious with cyclists and the roads are bike friendly. The hotels were all epic.

One of our favorites

This was our 19th VBT trips, our fourth in Spain, and high on our list of favorites. The scenery was beautiful, the hotels were all nice and our guides, Jose and Juanxto were both entertaining and knowledgeable. As is the case with previous trips, everything went very smoothly. The included lunches and dinners were all very good as was the wine. Most of the routes were on roads rather than bike paths, but were very lightly trafficked, with the exception of a few miles here and there, and we felt the routes were safe, especially since there are no many cyclists in Mallorca. The three towns we stayed in were all lovely and not over touristed. We had e-bikes, which I would recommend since there were a few climbs that would have been tough on a road bike, but no problem at all on an e-bike. We did not do the pre- or post trip add-ones, but did stay in La Palma for three days on our own and enjoyed our time there. Overall La Palma is quite crowded, mostly with British and German tourists. We spent one day hiking in Valldemossa, which we really enjoyed and another riding rented bikes along the beach areas of La Palma, thus avoiding the crowded tourist sites. I would recommend doing both of these. We were on the last tour of the season in late October and the weather was excellent for biking, except for one afternoon when it rained hard and no one in our group elected to ride. We booked this trip almost a year in advance because it is quite popular and still many of the departures were already full. As experienced VBT cyclists in our 70s, I would not hesitate to recommend this trip.

Wonderful trip, first and last.

The trip was great. The hotels and food were excellent. The leaders were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and caring. The best I’ve ever encountered on other vacations or cruises. My only concerns are the weight of the e-bikes and the occasional routes on busy roads. I’m an inexperienced biker who knew upfront that the trip would be challenging for me. The weight and configuration of the e-bikes made it difficult for me to mount and maneuver them. This resulted in some falls and minor injuries. While’s the periods on major roads are not lengthy, one in particular had a four foot wide bike lane with whizzing cars and trucks to my left and a three foot gully to my right. One of my falls was into such a gully. Having said that, I enjoyed the trip, my fellow bikers, the leaders, and the island of Mallorca. I would sum things up by saying it was comprised of many hours of beauty and enjoyment surrounding moments of sheer terror.

New Douro Valley Bike/Boat Tour

What an amazing trip! The Douro Valley was nothing short of magical. Cannot recommend this trip highly enough. The bike-boat experience was phenomenal (Emerald Cruises was top notch) and the Portuguese VBT leaders and entire boat crew made it an unforgettable experience. The exposure to the historical culture and centuries-old commerce along the Douro were a highlight. Bravo VBT

Great place, and the bike and boat make it better

Good route, and the ship, with unpacking once, makes it better. The guides were very good, and the food on the ship was excellent. The group of 18 were very enjoyable people.

Five star tour!

Fabulous trip! We truly enjoyed ourselves and the other people on the tour. We loved being there during Holy Week, too. The pre and post extensions were wonderful, we especially loved Rondo. All of the guides were terrific! Nico and Juan Carlos were fabulous as well. They both had a wonderful sense of humor and were very patient and helpful. We will highly recommend this tour to others and look forward to doing another tour in the future!

Spain Under the Andalusian SKy

Trip #2 with VBT and once again the entire tour exceeded my expectations. The towns of Spain via bike were breathless. The leaders were knowledgeable, friendly, fun and organized. Loved by Trip #2 and plan to do more......

Northern Spain and the Camino

Wonderful tour of Northern Spain. The best way to appreciate the scenery is walking. This trip as compared to others gave us plenty of options which we liked. The hotels and food were superb. The guides have always been great but Alberto and Pol went above and beyond expectations, trying to please us.

Great time on the Camino!

This is a wonderful trip with wonderful guides! It gives you a taste of what it would be like to walk one of the Caminos in its' entirety - I hope to go back and do that one day!

Loved Mallorca's Majestic Beautiful Serenity!

Incredibly beautiful and enjoyable hikes on scenic paths to historic places, with great guides, delicious fresh food, and new cultural experiences are well worth the journey to Mallorca.
