VBT Bicycling Vacations was selected as one of National Geographic Traveler Magazine’s “50 Tours of a Lifetime,” by the magazine’s editors. The Holland and Belgium Bike and Barge: Amsterdam tour was featured in the May 2015 issue along with a competitive array of tours from operators all over the world as part of the magazine’s mission “to propel readers out of their armchairs and into the field.”

VBT Bicycling Vacations was honored by Gov. Peter Shumlin for Contributions to the State of Vermont. Celebrating VBT’s “economic, recreational, and cultural contributions to the State of Vermont,” Governor Shumlin recognized VBT Bicycling Vacations with a State of Vermont Executive Department Proclamation.

For the second year in a row, National Geographic Adventure named VBT as one of the Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth, with a client satisfaction rating of 98.33/100 and a quality of service rating of 94/100.

VBT was selected by Travel Weekly as a 2009 Gold Magellan Award Winner in the Tour Operators/ Advertising/ Marketing Campaign category. The 2009 Magellan Awards received entries from top travel organizations and professionals worldwide and the quality of the work was outstanding.

VBT’s Vermont: Champlain Valley & Islands vacation was named one of Bicycling Magazine’s “15 Trips We Love” in December 2008. Soaking up the foliage season during the Champlain Valley & Islands tour was their pick, with highlights including red barns, white steeples, quaint New England villages and spectacular fall foliage.
